What type of hair does Tha Curl Guru offer?

We specialize in raw and virgin textured hair extensions, ethically sourced from India and Southeast Asia. Our collection includes curly and wavy textures designed to blend seamlessly with natural hair.

What’s the difference between raw hair and virgin hair?

• Raw Hair: 100% unprocessed human hair, collected directly from donors. Every bundle is unique, long-lasting (3–5+ years with proper care), and highly versatile but requires more maintenance.

• Virgin Hair: Also unprocessed, but lightly steam-textured for uniform curl or wave patterns. Easier to style, softer, and lower-maintenance, while still premium.

Why do texture patterns vary from bundle to bundle in raw hair?

Because raw hair is completely unprocessed and donor-collected, each bundle has a natural variation in curl, wave, or thickness. This uniqueness is what makes raw hair so authentic it’s like your natural hair, no two bundles are identical.

Does Tha Curl Guru offer closures or frontals?

Not at this time. Our mission is to enhance, not hide textured beauty. We encourage natural leave-out styles that blend seamlessly with our bundles, giving a look that’s soft, natural, and true to you. This also pays homage to the Y2K era, when natural-looking installs were the blueprint of Black feminine beauty.

Does Tha Curl Guru offer local drop-off services?

Yes, we provide local hand-to-hand drop-offs in the Inland Empire. Nationwide shipping is also available. For Inland Empire customers please select “Local Delivery” at checkout.

How many bundles do I need?

• Raw Indian Curly: 3 bundles for a natural look, 4 for fullness/volume.

• Raw Indian Wavy: 3 bundles for a natural look, 4 for fullness/volume.

• BabyGirl Curl (Virgin 3B–4A curl pattern): 4+ bundles recommended due to double wefting, which makes the bundle shorter in width but fuller in density.

How long does the hair last?

• Raw Hair: 3–5 years with proper care.

• Virgin Hair: 1–2 years with proper care.

What products should I use?

Stick to sulfate-free shampoos and conditioners, lightweight leave-ins, nourishing oils/serums, and a curl-defining mousse. Hydration is key for longevity.
